Originally made for Jim Carmichel, editor of Outdoor Life magazine and close personal friend of Bill Ruger. The gun remains unfired and in the original boxes. The boxes are the cardboard sleeve, the salt cod style wood box and the hinged lid box all made like the originals were 1n 1949. The gun is the standard model with the 4 ¾” barrel, this model was the first to go back to the red eagle medallion.
