Matched Pair of 16-gauge self opening side lock ejector guns. 28-inch barrels, straight grip stock, hinged front trigger, a gold B inlayed on each trigger guard bow, checkered butt, splinter forend. Guns are perfect, original, and untouched. Perfect bore diameter, factory chopper lump barrel with 2 1/2” chambers. Both guns choked IC/F. The frame, top lever, and forend have a gold 1 & 2 on them. Purdey confirms these guns were made in 1938 for Prince De Croy. The guns retain virtually all of the bright shiny case color and have all of the protective laquer. The absolute perfectly matched blanks that have marble cake and big black streaks in them that are just phenomenal. Drop point stocks. Guns still have all the fire blue on the pins and triggers. Low rib. This is one of the finest pairs of small bore Purdeys on the market. Virtually unused, perfect screws, just perfect everything. In a Purdey double oak and leather case.
