About Us

Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company, also known as Galazan’s, was founded in 1975 by current company president Antony Galazan. As a young man, Galazan was visited by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms due to the high volume of firearm parts he was producing. They suggested he apply for a license to produce these parts on an industrial scale; this marked the official beginning of the company. At the time, the company was primarily focused on used shotguns as well as producing barrel gauges and screws, items which are still manufactured by the company today.

In 1991, the company was incorporated and began expanding production. In the same year, Connecticut Shotgun began manufacturing the sidelock over and under, then in the following year the Fox shotguns. Later, in 1995, the Winchester Custom Shop was purchased for the Winchester Model 21, which has since come to include the Parker shotgun for Remington. This contract allows us to do repair work on these firearms; as well as buy and sell many hard-to-find shotguns and related products. About 10 years later, in 2006, a new high-quality affordable shotgun known as the RBL became available alongside some unique offerings which were available for limited time. These offerings include the Model 21 rifles chambered in .22, large bore double rifles, and Fox double rifles also chambered in .22. Following this addition, Connecticut Shotgun became the sole distributor of the B. Rizzini line of high-quality shotguns in 2008.

Now in its third location, Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company has over 120,000 feet of manufacturing space. This allows for uninterrupted production of the following shotguns:

Connecticut Shotgun has no dealers, every product is sold directly to our customers, leading to a lengthy waiting period in many cases. Our team possesses the knowledge of our vast variety of product offerings to help identify which product would be the best fit for each customer. If we do not have a product that would cater to your needs, we will not hesitate to let you know up front. With over 48 years of experience in the firearm industry, we enjoy an unparalleled reputation in terms of quality and customer satisfaction. When we manufacture a firearm with a specific purpose, we do so knowing it is of a higher quality than our competitors. We stand behind every single firearm that leaves our facility, supporting them 100% with unprecedented warranties including finish wear. Barring a few exceptions, our warranties extend to virtually any new or used firearm sold from Connecticut Shotgun. If we sell it, we can service it.

While other dealers will simply sell you whichever gun benefits them the most financially, Connecticut Shotgun will take the time to find a shotgun catering to your unique specifications. Other gun dealers cannot adequately serve many different manufacturers so they end up selling customers the guns they can make the most money on. Meanwhile, at Connecticut Shotgun we strive to serve each customer’s individual needs. In the event your gun requires maintenance, a dealer may not have the necessary parts available, leading to a backlog of repairs. Since they are merely a dealer, they may have difficulty acquiring the necessary parts due to unavailability of even the product being redesigned entirely. At Connecticut Shotgun, we can assure customers that repairs will be made as expeditiously as possible no matter whether your gun is old or new.

Many companies may claim to be the best and the biggest, however few can compare to the level of commitment and expertise we possess in one facility. Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company is a completely integrated company, meaning we do not rely on any outside subcontractors. Instead, we make our own designs, tooling, fixturing, prototypes, firearms, and components utilizing our own team of engineers. In the end, the cost may be higher, but the final product is far superior to others on the market. In many cases, other shotgun manufacturers can be described as mere assembling operations at best, we at Connecticut Shotgun are involved in the production of each shotgun from its inception to its construction. When we have a new design or idea, our goal is to build the best product possible. This allows us to focus on creating the highest quality product rather than one hindered by financial limitations. If you want the best, that is what we offer. At Connecticut Shotgun all products are made in America with pride, superior craftsmanship, and without compromise.
