Connecticut Shotgun certainly has been no stranger to making high-grade shotguns ranging from the Galazan, A10, A.H. Fox, and Model 21 shotguns. Now, we have ventured into the world of competition shotguns. Our new competition shotgun is called the G1, and it is a 12 gauge over/under available in barrel lengths of 26” to 32”. Some very interesting features of the gun include a laser-welded rib, which eliminates the possibility of separation from the barrels. Also, the frame is made of stainless steel, which puts a greater mass between the shooter’s hands and improves the dynamics of a competition gun. Additionally, a step between the barrels and frame eliminates any off-face issues encountered with other guns of this type. An adjustable barrel hanger is also utilized so the shooter can adjust the POA/POI relationship between the top and bottom barrel.
A solid billet of stainless steel is transformed into a G1 frame using CNC equipment, which holds tolerances associated with the aircraft industry. Have your gun dealer put in writing that the gun they are selling you is not made of an inferior cast frame, and you will be shocked to find out that many of even the very expensive competition guns are made of castings!
The G1 ejector system is based on a time-proven design that employs extractors made of CNC machined 4140 steel billets, and the single selective trigger is of a time-proven robust design ensuring a high degree of reliability.
Additional features available on the G1 are an adjustable comb, a weight balancing system, wood and engraving upgrades, interchangeable chokes, inspection doors for a thorough cleaning, a release trigger, a single barrel trap, and unsingle barrel configurations.
When purchasing a G1, our knowledgeable staff is here to assist you through the ordering process, and we understand that other competition gun makers may offer this service; our difference is that you are talking directly to the factory! Finally, and this is a crucial point when maintenance is required on your gun, our factory located in the United States quickly turns your gun around, and the service is performed by the gunsmiths that originally made the gun with factory parts.
