Reproofed in 1980, Best quality Chopper Lump Barrels, this pair of guns were made in 1931 and have virtually no use on them. Barrels are marked Holland And Holland 98 NewBonds St. London” with “Royal Brevis” engraved in the rib, 99% of English Barrel blue, top lever, barrels. Forend has gold inlay “1” and “2” automatic safety with gold inlay safety, hand detachable lock plates, gold inlay cocking indicators, rolled edge trigger guards, the very finest prewar Bold Royal Scroll engraving, the underside is marked “ Royal Self Opener Patented 1922” beautifully figured Turkish walnut stocks with gold ovals, perfect drop points, perfect engraving, virtually all of the case color, perfect screws, Straight grip, splinter forend, hand detachable.. the gun exhibits virtually all of the case color, including the face of the gun. It’s questionable if the gun was even shot, the stocks have a slight sweep at the comb, has removable self-openers. This outstanding and virtually new pair of guns from the golden era, is of the very highest workmanship! The Royal Brevis, Is the highest level of the gun in their double Oak and Leather Trunk Case.
