James Purdey Sidelock Double Ejector 12ga. 27” Whitworth Steel barrels choked IC/M. 2 5/8” chambers, the perfect bores. Made at the height of Purdey production in 1928. Proofed at 1 1/8 oz. Special order sunken rib, receiver is the most beautiful rose and scroll English engraving ever performed. Full coverage engraving. The wood is perfect and sound and is original to the gun. Straight grip, silver monogram, the original solid silvers pad. The gun is perfect, lock up and is on face. Chokes are 6 and 28 with perfect barrel walls. Perfect ejectors. This gun has just had a 100% going over where it is 100% as new with London style case color, barrel blue and wood finish that looks how it did leaving the factory in 1928. Has original motor case with original owners name, Purdey label with ivory containers, extra firing pins, a letter from Purdey dated 1933 discussing the gun, and its original Purdey manual.
