Leather Handguards Leather over spring steel made to slip over the barrels of double guns to provide a better grip on splinter-type forends, protect hand from hot barrels, and add barrel weight to improve accuracy. Unlike most other handguards on the market, the leather is tanned, dyed and coated through a special process where it will not effect the gun bluing or wood finish in any way. Be careful of other handguards on the market. Available in 12 ga., 16 ga., 20 ga., 28 ga., and .410 bore. Handguard weights are as follows: 12 Ga: 4.2 oz 16 Ga: 4.0 oz 20 Ga: 3.4 oz 28Ga: 3.4 oz .410: 2.2 oz
